The website package contains font archives supplied by the project owner. The archives do not all include the same license terms, and some embedded metadata indicates restrictions or reserved rights.
Before Going Live
- Identify the original rights holder for every font.
- Confirm that public redistribution of the raw file is allowed.
- Confirm whether commercial use, web embedding, application embedding, or logo use is allowed.
- Keep a copy of the license or written permission.
- Remove any archive that cannot be verified.
Wingdings-Specific Review
The supplied Wingdings font metadata references use under the EULA of the product with which the font was included. This may not grant public redistribution rights. The site owner should obtain permission or replace the public file with an authorized acquisition path before launch.
Other Fonts
Some files identify commercial or all-rights-reserved terms, while others do not include complete license text. Missing metadata is not permission. Verify rights separately.
Technical access and legal permission are different. Publish only the files you are authorized to distribute.
